The botanical name, Theobroma cacao, roughly translated, means “food of the gods”, or more literally, “God food”.
It creates a feeling of well-being, contentment and clarity and assists in relaxing the muscles. It is traditionally reputed to have anti-oxidant, anti-aging, antibacterial and overall physical and mental balancing properties. The scent of chocolate is said to reduce stress and anxiety, to be aphrodisiac and to open the heart chakra.
